Entry #5
I woke up the other morning feeling swamped with tasks I needed to get done that day. Before I even began tackling the day I already felt lazy and slow. I was thinking of the reasoning behind the slow start and after taking a shower and feeling all cleaned up I realized that I needed more structure in my mornings. I didn’t necessarily adopt an entire morning routine yet however I began to shower first thing the morning. I don’t know the psychology behind it but it just seems to wake my body up and the sense of feeling clean is a strong motivator to tackle the day head on. As time goes on I plan on implementing more little morning tasks to help get more organized and feel like I’m more in control of my day. If you don’t have any sort of morning routine, even something as small as making your bed or taking a shower, I highly recommend you begin to do so. These little daily tasks are more effective than you may think.
